FAQ's

How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a laser, which is accomplished by sending a light through the pigment in the hair, the light converts to heat. The intense heat destroys the root and interconnections, therefore damaging the hair follicle and restricting further growth. The surrounding tissue is undamaged.

How many treatments are required and why?

The number of treatments required will depend on the area, how coarse the hair follicle is and the skin type. Generally clients require between 6-8 treatments. This can be discussed with your experienced therapist. Approx 2 weeks after your first treatment you will notice a difference and real results will be seen after 2 treatments. Laser will only work on the hair follice which is in the growing phase, therefore further treatments are required every 6 weeks to allow the hair which is in different stages of growth to be destroyed.

How long does the treatment take?

The length of time the treatment will take depends upon  which body part is being treated . Areas such as the lips and underarms could take approx 10 minutes, however larger areas may take up to 60 minutes a session.
